page-3 garden

The south facing garden is a wonderful suntrap throughout the day, perfect for relaxing after enjoying the surrounding areas.

Fully enclosed with honeysuckle, ivy and wild roses tumbling over the old flint walls it is reached directly from the living room with a small patio and lawn beyond. The cottage style planting includes French lavender, box balls and clematis which attract an abundance of birds and insects.

There are two benches: one to catch the morning sun and a second to soak up the last of the evening rays when you are likely to see any number of birds flying over on their way to the marshes, or the local barn owl hunting. Garden tables and chairs are also provided in Summer.
